2023 Honda Odyssey

For the 2023 model year, Honda kept the same number of trims available at five but eliminated the LX trim, which was the base trim, while adding a Sport trim. The five trims now available include EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite. Powered sliding passenger doors on both sides are standard. Consider adding either a power liftgate or a hands-free liftgate to help you load items into the cargo area easier. The Odyssey is the first minivan that offers 19-inch alloy wheels with the base trim.

Every 2023 Honda Odyssey has the same powerful engine under the hood. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The 10-speed automatic transmission provides smooth shifting.

As a big minivan, the 2023 Honda Odyssey handles quite well, despite its size. You can confidently apply the brakes and steer the minivan easily. It handles corners well and delivers a smooth ride. Also, when properly equipped, the Odyssey has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

As a three-row minivan that seats eight people, the 2023 Honda Odyssey offers plenty of comfortable and spacious seating, and even those riding in the third row can easily stretch their legs. Depending on the seat configuration and trim, the minivan has between 32.8 and 38.6 cubic feet of space in the cargo area. The space behind the second row of seats ranges between 86.8 to 92.3 cubic feet of space, while it expands to 140.7 to 158 cubic feet of space behind the front seats. You can also easily move the second-row seats, thanks to the Magic Slide seats.

The minivan's state-of-the-art infotainment system is easy to operate, thanks to a clean layout and snappy response time. You can access the system via an 8-inch touch-screen display. A handful of the standard features include satellite and HD radio, two USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. If you want additional features, opt for wireless smartphone charging, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Every 2023 Honda Odyssey includes about a dozen driver-assistance features to keep everyone safe. Some of these features include stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, forward automatic emergency braking, road-departure mitigation, and automatic high-beam headlights. A few add-on features include front and rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring. Due in part to these impressive safety features, the Odyssey earned a perfect overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This minivan also earned a five-star rating for frontal and side crash tests.
